Flow — Productivity App
Overview
Flow is a productivity app designed to help knowledge workers manage tasks, projects, and focus time. I led the complete design process from research to final handoff.
The Problem
Existing productivity apps were either too complex or too simple. Users wanted something that adapted to their workflow without requiring extensive setup. The core challenge was balancing power with simplicity.
The Process
User interviews revealed three distinct user archetypes. I created journey maps for each and designed a flexible system that could serve all three. Multiple rounds of usability testing refined the interaction patterns.
The Solution
The final design uses a card-based system with smart defaults. The onboarding flow gets users productive in under 2 minutes. A focus mode eliminates distractions with a single tap.
